In-person attendees
Where is the event taking place?
AdventureX 2025 will be held at:
LSBU Hub, 100, 116 London Rd, Elephant and Castle, London SE1 6LN
When is the event taking place?
AdventureX will take place between 22 - 23 November 2025.
Please view our Schedule page for more information.
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets for 2025 are available on our Tickets page. As we sold out very quickly in past years, we recommend getting your tickets early to ensure you don't miss out.
The tickets I wanted to buy are no longer available!
Your best chance is to sign up for our waiting list. However, we cannot guarantee sold out ticket types will become available again.
How much will tickets cost?
A regular weekend ticket will cost £ 72 GBP.
A regular one-day (Saturday/Sunday) ticket will cost £ 40 GBP.
A limited number of weekend/one-day concession tickets are available at discounted prices for students and those receiving benefits (UC/PIP/DLA). Please bring proof of eligibility.
Eligibility for concession rate based on education/disability/unemployment status not covered under the stated (UK specific) rules may be determined on a case-by-case basis at our discretion. Please contact us with information about your case if you wish to request permission to purchase a concession ticket and are uncertain about your eligibility.
Under 18s must be accompanied at all times. Under 12s get free entrance. 12s and over require a ticket.
This year, we are accepting optional donations when regular tickets are purchased. Any donation is highly appreciated and helps support our continued activities as a volunteer-run, non-profit event.
As a person with a disability, do I need to buy a ticket to be accompanied by an essential carer?
Essential carers do not need to buy a ticket. Please email us with your ticket info and the name of your essential carer who will accompany you, and we will ensure they can do so.
As a person with a disability, can I participate in the event and enjoy the programme?
We are proud to be a fully inclusive and accessible event, with professional British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters ensuring that every attendee can enjoy and engage with all our talks and panels.
Who is speaking and exhibiting?
Check the Speakers and Exhibitors pages for information on all confirmed speakers, panelists and exhibitors.
I can't attend, can someone else use my ticket?
Tickets are named and non-transferable without a request to change the name. We may be able to do this, or refund your ticket, on timely request before the event. However, these will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
After 1 November, we cannot guarantee our ability to provide any refunds or assistance in changing the ticket name for transferring your ticket to anyone else. If you present a ticket which is not in your name at the door, you may be refused entrance to the event.
Please keep in mind that concessions tickets have eligibility criteria and can not simply be transferred to any other person. Please ensure the person you are transferring your ticket to meets these criteria so they can enter with a concessions ticket.
Please contact us by email if you need to discuss your ticket.
How should attendees behave?
We have a Code of Conduct which we expect all attendees, speakers and exhibitors to abide by. Please read it carefully. Any violations of this Code may result in that person being removed from the event, and potentially banned from attending AdventureX in the future.
Important note: the Code of Conduct is subject to change and may be updated at any time. Attendees are expected to follow the latest version of this document at the time of the in-person event.
What do I do if I have a problem on-site?
If you have an issue during the event, please report this to one of the organisers or volunteers and they will do their best to help resolve the situation in a timely manner.
What amenities and access will be available at the venue?
The venue has:
-
Disabled access to all areas.
-
An on-site café selling food and drinks throughout the event.
-
Accessible toilets.
-
24-hour security.
Important note: there is no on-site parking. We highly encourage travel by public transit to the venue when possible. There may be public parking availability in the area, but we cannot facilitate or guarantee this.
Can I bring my own food and drink into the venue?
Please don't bring your own food and drink. Medications and water are allowed. Any other food and drink can be purchased on-site. Bags may be checked on entry.
Can I bring my baby? Do I need to buy a ticket for them?
Under 18s must be accompanied at all times. Under 12s get free entrance. 12s and over require a ticket.
Babies are allowed into the venue. A changing room is available on-site in the unisex toilets opposite to the Costa Café (on your right as you enter the LSBU Hub building).
For attending talks with children, we highly recommend getting seated in the Overspill Theatre where the talks will be streamed. While you will not see the live speaker(s), this theatre will be less busy and you are able to come and go freely while talks are ongoing without risking interrupting the talk.
Games and talks might contain content deemed inappropriate for children. We are looking into options for giving content warnings, but cannot guarantee those will be available and they may be limited. Parents are encouraged to use their own judgement to determine whether content is suitable for their children.
Will there be anywhere quiet I can go, if I need to?
The venue has a range of places where attendees can go if they need a bit of quiet time away from the exhibition area. There are also seating areas in the main entrance, café and benches outside.
Will there be any merch available?
Yes! This year, we have partnered with a third-party supplier to provide a range of AdventureX merchandise which will be available both on-site and online.
The Adventure Game Merch Store opened for business as of 1 September 2025, with an AdventureX collection of shirts, hoodies and tote bags! Online orders placed in advance of AdventureX 2025 can be picked up at the on-site merch table, or you can make your purchase there.
Does AdventureX recommend/offer a preferential rate for any nearby hotels?
We do not have any group booking or preferential rate deals with any hotels near the venue, nor can we recommend any specific accommodation options.
Can I buy multiple tickets for a group under one person's name?
Yes, this is possible. The person who made this purchase will have to identify themselves and the people in the group on entry for every person in the booking to receive their wristband.
If the purchaser cannot attend personally, please contact us by email in advance or ask at the entrance and we'll sort it out.
Am I allowed to cosplay at the event?
Yes! As long as your costume isn't a potential hindrance to other attendees (by size, ...), please feel free to bring an outfit to dress up as your favourite narrative/adventure game character! We've seen various great cosplays at past AdventureX events, and always look forward to seeing what our community comes up with next.
Digital content
How can I enjoy AdventureX digitally?
All AdventureX talks and panels are livestreamed on our Twitch and YouTube channel throughout the event, and then edited and uploaded as individual videos on Youtube at a later date.
In addition to this, we will have our annual Steam Sale Event which will run during the event (19 Nov - 3 Dec), through which players can access to/get discounts for games and demos which have been featured at AdventureX over the years. This year's talks and panels will also be livestreamed on the Steam Event page, alongside restreams of past years' talks and panels.
Exhibitors
I'm exhibiting, what do I need to bring?
All exhibitors will be contacted with an itinerary and list of what is required. If you need a copy of this, please contact us by email.
Do I need to be at my stand all of the time?
Your stand will need to be manned by at least one official representative at all times while the event is running on both days. You will need to be there an hour before the doors open each morning, and must not leave before the doors close each evening.
We understand that solo exhibitors will need to leave their stand for occasional, short comfort breaks or to grab some food throughout the event, but please keep these to a minimum. Food and drink will also be available on-site, and toilets are located close to the exhibition area.
Do I need to pay to exhibit?
No. Exhibitors we have selected through the application process are not charged any fees to exhibit at the event. You do need to provide your own equipment. We provide chairs, a table, a tablecloth and a power outlet for you to use.
Are any of my expenses covered?
Unfortunately, we have a limited budget and cannot reimburse any accommodation, travel or other costs related to exhibiting your game at AdventureX.
Speakers & panelists
I'm speaking, what do I need to bring?
Please discuss your presentation requirements with the team prior to the event so we can work with you to accommodate them. We ask that you provide your presentation deck and any other resources to AdventureX at least one month before the event so our BSL interpreters have sufficient time to prepare.
This will also allow us to ensure that your presentation materials are available on our end, in case of emergency. We'd still recommend that you bring a copy with you on a USB drive, just in case.
Your presentation should not require any additional content accessible only via the internet. Any external resources featured in your presentation (e.g. videos) should be embedded or available locally.
When do I need to arrive?
Ideally, you should arrive at the event at least one hour before your talk is due to start. We will have a "Green Room" area where all speakers are able to congregate before and after their presentations, with snacks and drinks provided.
Of course, you are also welcome to roam the main conference space and interact with other attendees, if you wish to do so.
Are any of my expenses covered?
After the event, AdventureX will reimburse all speakers and panelists for any reasonable domestic travel expenses incurred within the UK (no business-class flights, first-class train tickets or taxi rides, please!). Please retain all tickets and receipts for public transport etc. as proof of these expenses.
Unfortunately, we cannot reimburse any accommodation, or travel costs incurred outside of the UK.
GUESTS (speakers, sponsors, press, misc.)
I'm a guest, how do I get inside the venue?
If you are on our guest list, simply provide your name at the check-in desk and you're good to go!
