apply to exhibit at AdventureX 2025
In 2025, AdventureX is organising our annual in-person conference in London on 22 - 23 November. As always, we invite narrative games and other projects related to narrative storytelling to apply to showcase their work in our dedicated exhibition area during the event.

Additionally, we intend to run our annual digital Steam Sale event, which features games from past exhibitors as well as this year's selection.

If your submission is accepted, exhibiting is free of charge. We do not require a booth fee.
I'd like to speak at AdventureX
This page is for people who would like to exhibit a game or narrative project at AdventureX. If you are interested speaking and have an idea for a talk or panel you'd like to submit, please use this form instead.

How does applying work?

Click the button at the top of this page and fill in the Google form to apply! The more supporting materials you can provide us, the better – trailers, artwork etc.
Applications close on midnight of Monday 14 July 2025 AoE Time. We aim to personally respond to all applicants no later than 15 August 2025.

IMPORTANT!
Successful applicants must respond with confirmation of attendance before their submission is eligible to exhibit in the event. If we do not receive your confirmation by Monday 1 September 2025, we will be forced to reach out to runner-ups and cannot guarantee that your submission can be included in the event.

Is my game/project eligible?

We can only accept submissions which provide a playable and accessible build (demo, work-in-progress version or final version). We know what a beta build looks like, so we can overlook placeholder assets and missing voice acting etc. But if your demo/build really isn't ready to be seen by outsiders, it's probably better to wait until next year.

We do not restrict applications based on the release date of your submission. Any game/software/project which hasn't been exhibited at AdventureX before is eligible to apply. But we do prefer and encourage new releases (2024 - 2025) and in-development submissions (especially those slated for release in 2025 - 2026).

IMPORTANT!
You must be able to exhibit your game IN PERSON at the event in London to be eligible for participation. Unfortunately, we cannot support remote exhibition. Exhibits must be manned throughout the duration of the event by at least one person actively involved in the project who are able to explain, demonstrate and discuss it competently with attendees in English.

For further details on our eligibility criteria and rules for exhibiting at AdventureX 2025, please read the list at the start of the Google form.

Reasons to exhibit
-
Promote and share your game/project with our community of narrative gaming fans!
-
Be featured in the AdventureX 2025 Steam Sale!
-
Earn an "AdventureX official selection" badge.
-
We will highlight your game/project on our website, social media and event livestream!

How are the exhibitors selected?

We think of the AdventureX exhibitors like a film festival’s “Official Selection” – a curated, hand-picked selection of this year’s narrative indie games (and related software/projects). Submissions will be reviewed by a committee of AdventureX volunteers. We do our best to be objective and curate a diverse selection that caters to a range of interests.

AdventureX is primarily an English language event. We welcome applications from outside the UK, and our reviewers will make allowances for first-draft translations. But your game/software/project should be playable in English if you would like to be considered.

Unfortunately, every year we have to reject submissions we’d love to accept. This might be because we have too many submissions in a particular art style or sub-genre. If we don’t accept yours this year please don't lose heart, you’re welcome to apply again in the future.

We no longer allow devs to exhibit the same game/software/project more than once, and we’re not able to enter into correspondence about unsuccessful applications.

We reserve the right to accept certain submissions as "Honourable Mentions". This means that you will get all the digital perks of being selected to exhibit (participation in the Steam sale event, a shiny award badge, being featured on our website/social media/livestream etc), but are not invited to exhibit in person at the event.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

What are the costs for exhibiting?
Accepted submissions are allowed to exhibit free of charge. We do not require a booth fee. However, we do not provide any financial support, and you are responsible for your own travel costs and the equipment (computer hardware/peripherals ...) you require to showcase your game/project. We do provide a table, tablecloth, two chairs and a UK power socket.

Can I apply to exhibit a game/project that was previously exhibited at AdventureX?
No, you cannot. However, previously exhibited games will be invited to participate (be featured) in our 2025 AdventureX Steam Sale event.

Can I apply to exhibit a game/project I submitted in the past which wasn't accepted?
Yes, you can. In fact, we encourage it! While we make no guarantees, it's certainly possible that your game/project will be accepted this time, especially if it has been further developed in the meantime and is in a better state for showcasing to the public than last time.

Something went wrong with my application!
Please contact us as quickly as possible by email so we can determine what the problem is and if it can be resolved.
Circumstances changed and I cannot exhibit in person!
You (or your team/publisher) must be able to attend on both days of the event to exhibit in person. If it turns out that this is no longer possible for you after you have already submitted, please inform us by email as soon as possible so action can be taken.
I would like to exhibit a different game/project than the one I submitted!
You may only exhibit the submission you applied for. If applications via the Google form are still open, feel free to re-apply with a different project and inform us by email that you are no longer able/interested in exhibiting the game/project you submitted previously.
If your application has already been accepted and you wish to exhibit a different game/project than the accepted submission, we cannot allow this since our invitation to exhibit is based on the specific submission we reviewed. Please inform us by email as soon as possible so action can be taken.

If you (as a developer and/or publisher) submitted applications for multiple games/projects, our invitation email will make it clear which submission(s) we have accepted.

I haven't heard back about my application yet?
We aim to personally respond to all applicants no later than 15 August 2025. However, AdventureX is run by a small team of volunteers, so please be patient. If you do not hear from us, please contact us by email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please double check which email address you entered as your "Contact email" when you submitted, and check your spam email folder.
